Studio Paint
Acrylic painting is different from drawing because when you draw you start with a sketch but when you paint you don't do a sketch before painting, you just start painting. Painting figures helps me understand the figure more because I think carefully about the shape and structure of the figure before I start painting. I also start with the negative space so it would be easier for me to paint the figure. Limited palette challenge me by making me think what colors are good with each others and also what colors I could mix to make light and medium and dark colors. I learn how to mix colors to make dark and light colors and also how to make a medium color with a dark and light color. One goal that I have is to make a self portrait of myself with acrylic paint and just get better at it.
