Parson Challenge

Overlooked Camera

I wasn’t as sure what I wanted to make for the Parson Challenge, because there are so many things that are overlooked in our everyday life. Without these unseen mechanics we would not have a way to communicate, share opinions or talk through wireless phones. The camera is a tool that we use to look at the world through a different point of view. However we do not always acknowledge how the device itself works. There are so many things that the camera needs to function and we do not see those things because they are always on the inside. I picked a camera because I was also interested in what a camera looks like on the inside and what made it work. I picked the camera because I have taken photography and I was curious of what the inside of a camera look like. I was surprised when I started looking at the camera’s inside. I would not think that the little mechanics inside of the camera can make something capture special moments in just seconds. When I opened the camera I found mirrors and imagine how objects looked through the glass. I thought of having the camera on the table but the audience did not know that it was a camera broken into pieces. I chose to instal my project from the ceiling so the viewers know what object I picked and also they see would be able to see the inside of the camera. Through this project I learned how the mechanics play a role on the working of a camera.

Interior Space

I picked this object because it looked interesting to draw and also because it was challenging for me to draw. I added one more object to the object that I choose, to make it look more interesting. It was challenging for me to draw the object itself but I didn't want it to look plain that's why I added a paper plane. I was having trouble drawing the first object I picked because it needed to look 3D and also look realistic and I didn't think it would look like what it looks now. I feel accomplished with my finish product because my goal was to make the object look the same as it looks in real life and I did.
