end of term reflection
1. how do we communicate through visual language?
I all ways communicate through visual language by drawing how i feel or doing things that i like. For example for my art homework i did draw something that i now about the conflict that is happening in Sudan. I think that people communicate through language in different ways.
2. how have you refined your understanding of symbols and color theory?
I learned that when you mix some of the color is stayed the same color or it got darker the color. When i looked at the symbols i use to think that they were there just to decorated but they were not to decorated. I learned that all the symbols got a significant. For example the Greek people have symbol every were like the symbol of Poseidon his symbol represent god of the sea.
3. What connections have you made with the work we have done this term?
I connect my life with my piece of arts that i have done. I connected my symbols with my live in the fabric project.
4. what are you proud of this term?
i am proud because i did better this term and am also proud of this term because i finish my project and i think they are pretty good. but i am most proud of doing good in this term because is my first year so is good to end the term well.
5. what was a struggle you had this term?
I was struggling with the project when i first started. I done with them but it was to much worked just to put wax on the fabric it was so hard.

Fabric dyeing project 1: exploring fabric dyeing
O. The first technique we learn was dyeing, the second technique we learn was folding, and the last technique we learn was to batik.
O. At first when you see how fabric dyeing is done you think we are going to get all dirty. when you first move the material to make the color you need to covered your mouth and nose because there are some toxic materials. after moving the materials to make the material or to give the color for the fabric dyeing you put the fabric in were ever you have do color and then wait for 20 minutes. if your fabric has wax on you wait 15 minutes till the color gets on the fabric.
O. This technique could be use to make different kinds of art because there are different artist that do art with different kind of things. they use paint, pencil, and paper but with the dyeing technique you can make any thing with it but the thing that is different about fabric dyeing is that you can paint your own fabric or your shirts real fast not like paint if you use paint it would take more than one hour. I dye 2 fabric in 25 minutes.

stamping symbols- tied adire
Stamping Symbols is like telling a story but in symbols. I also know that is hard sometimes to make the stamping symbol because you have to cut it very carefully.I enjoy the making of the stamping. I enjoy making the story about one part of my life in a paper. I dint enjoy the painting of the stamping symbol. I dint enjoy making my symbols because we had to make 9 symbols in a small Tied Adire.
